Bacteria love to live in your mouth. When you brush, you are helping to get rid of it and a sticky substance it forms called plaque. Sometimes, the plaque hardens into tartar and becomes impossible for you to remove at home. When this stuff builds up around and under the gumline, it can lead to gum disease. Signs may include bleeding, swelling, and tenderness.
At Thomas J. Feder, DDS PC, we will carefully clean the bacteria, plaque, and tartar from your teeth and underneath the gumline.
